Solidarité Technologique, a major player in the recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in Cameroon, has been operating in this field since 2011. The Ministry of Environment, Sustainable Development and Nature Protection (MINEPDED) has renewed our Environmental Permit in 2019 (N°- 00096 of 08 October 2019). This permit allows us to carry out the activities of sorting, collection, transport, storage, recovery, recycling, treatment and/or final disposal of WEEE throughout Cameroon.
Today, most WEEE (see definition here) present this crossed-out bin logo, which illustrates the need for users to entrust this waste to approved companies/recyclers:
